Woohoo 2 finishes since my last post.
I don't have a picture of Coffee Crazy on my camera or computer. I'll need to retake it for next time
I also been looking for Monk's cloth and still can't find it local anywhere. Any Ideas??? I've looked on Etsy which brings me to my next picture. I bought some huck material thinking I could make an afghan on it but found that it wasn't cut straight and the weave seems to be off for some reason. I had to take a few inches off each side hoping to get it straight. I have come to the conclusion that I can make place mats with it. I feel if I tried to make an afghan it would look crooked. I cut it in half and am using half of it for placemats....
I've made little progress on Stocking #1 and my last stocking that I'll be stitching for a while. I'll be moving on to a large project sometime in maybe July or August more than likely August since I'm not starting another large project until this stocking is done. 1 more animal to go after I finish the antlers and then finish the vine to the left...
Let me know if you come across any Monk's Cloth for a low price. I don't want to pay inflated prices on EBay or any price that looks outrageous. Send me an email with links and info. I would very much appreciate it :)
Until Next Time....
Happy Stitching and May you have smokin' needles...xxx
Gorgeous stitching! Do you have a fabric store near you? I am pretty sure my mom used to buy her Monk's Cloth at Fabricville. Not sure if you have in the US though.
ReplyDeleteThere's a Walmart, Hobby Lobby and Michaels, those don't carry it. I've asked them. As far as fabric stores. I have to look up locals. I don't think there's a Fabricville( don't think this is in NC) or a Joann's close
ReplyDeleteI’d never heard of Monks Cloth or Huck before, and I thought they were both are available on line here ..... all different hole counts too, but when I looked further they had none in stock. Ugh, so, sorry, can’t help.
ReplyDeleteWell done on your finishes!
