Harvest Light FINISHED!

As of August 7th 2016 at 8:00pm , I can finally say I am finished with Harvest Light. Now me and french knots don't get along at all let alone using 1 ply! That was a feat in itself for me but I finally manage 8 of them.
Here's a few shots of the finished piece.

Can't really see the bling ( metallic thread ) embellishment I did on the candle flame. The camera just can't catch the little bit of sparkle there. I do believe this will become a wall hanging IF I can find just the right fall material some where. It has to be subtle and yet make the design stand out. I'll be searching until I find what feels right and if I don't I'll just frame it myself. I do hope that you enjoyed this journey with me and didn't become bored. Next I'll be doing 2 smalls then I'll start Cape Elizabeth Light house. Details for that will be on another post by itself. Meanwhile - Happy Stitching! And I hope that you will continue on another journey with me. :) ~ C's Cross Stitch Creations ~ aka East Coast Stitcher

* 7- 30 - 2016. I may not get to update tomorrow and going out of town on Monday  so I am going to update now. I know ya'll are probably tired of seeing this and I am anxious to get it done.
I had a small setback on some back stitching. I noticed I had back stitched the far left ribbon in the wrong color so Mr. Frog paid a visit and now it was redone a couple of days ago.
I have about 10 more 10 x 10 boxes to finish or 2 half rows per say, so maybe a little over 1000 stitches left. I still haven't decided how to finish finish it yet be it framed or a wall hanging.

 * 7-24-2016. Update time once again. After a long day at work then some stuff done around my home I was finally able to get some more stitching time in. I worked on back stitching and the left side of Harvest Light. I love how the  back stitching made the leaf and ribbon and part of the pumpkins & star fish pop on the fabric. Till next time.....Happy Stitching and may Mr. Frog stay away! ~ C's Cross Stitch Creations ~ East Coast Stitcher

*7-20-2016. Yay another update on Harvest Light. I also made a short video of the total progress so far but a picture first. I have about 2 more rows to finish, then try to figure out if I am going to frame it or make a wall hanging w/ embellishments. Not sure yet. Any how here I am as of this evening.
The video can be found on my You  Tube channel here Harvest Light

*7 - 16-2016. It's been a few days since an update. I was stitching and designing a new pattern for my followers to show my appreciation. Now I've started back on Harvest Light once again and got in some stitching time. So without further ado here's my current update.

* 7-10-2016. After finishing the 2 new starts Independence Day and Sweetheart Rose, I am back to stitching on Harvest Light. Couple of pic updates then back to stitching till time for sleep. Happy Stitching!

* 6-22-2016. Got in some stitching time. Too hot to do anything outside this evening and thunderstorms were forecast but haven't seen anything yet. Any how. I worked on the left side this evening and will work my way across to the right a little at a time. Happy Stitching! ~ C's Cross Stitch Creations ~

*6-21-2916 Time for another update. I have stitched a little on this one and on another new start. Hoping to get a little more done this time around. Mr. Frog had to show up again while I was working on the border on the left, the swirly thingy like the right side that I had trouble with last time but managed to figure out where I went wrong, I was a few stitches off and had to redo it. So without further ado :) Rows 9 of 14 complete. Happy Stitching! ~ C's Cross Stitch Creations ~ aka East Coast Stitcher on Google.

*6- 12-16 Got a little more done to Harvest Light. I am really enjoying stitching this one. Not quite ready to add the second change I'll be doing to this one but I promise I will show ya'll :)  I started having a little trouble with the designs on the right, the swirly thingy but I got it straighten out finally. *6- 5 -16 Yeah finally got some more much need stitchin' therapy last night. Update on Harvest Light. I've decided to add some sparkly to a couple of things on here. One  I will show but the other will be added at a later time. First up SPARKLY added to the candle flame.Top photo is DMC 301 as a full stitch( as pattern called for) then I tent stitched ( / )  ( my idea , not  called for on pattern)  using Kreinik very fine #4 braid 021HL. The second photo is DMC 725 as a full stitch then I tent stitched ( / ) using Kreinik very fine #4 braid 028. Last photo is what I have stitched so far. Looking at 7 of 14 rows done. *5-30-2016. I put aside this one to do another project. Now back to this one last night and time for an update. I find back stitching tedious sometimes so I decided to back stitch as I go along on this one. Happy Stitching! ~ C's Cross Stitch Creations ~

The Stardust Fairy will be put away because I would like to work on this one for a while. It may be a gift but not sure as of yet.

Imaginating  has this beautiful cross stitch called Harvest Light designed by Diane Arthurs. I purchased mine from 123Stitch. I'm using Charles Craft 14 count Carolina Linen. Using DMC threads. I had started this one back in Nov. 2015 and was trying to do a rotation but that didn't appeal to me so I tried working on 1 at time , I kept getting sidetracked by all the beautiful designs I keep seeing on the blogs and facebook groups I am in. At the moment I think I'll stick with this one Happy Stitching! ~ C's Cross Stitch Creations ~

*4-11-2016 Got a little stitching done between running errands and house cleaning. So far only had to frog a few stitches because I counted wrong but all fixed now.
